Our Stories
People come to LSS at different stages in their lives and for different reasons. Each person’s story is unique. We strive to meet our clients, residents, volunteers, partners and donors where they are in life and serve them as individuals so that their lives may be fulfilled. We are thankful for our partnership with Mid-Ohio Food Collective on mobile food markets that bring fresh produce to some of our senior affordable housing communities, like Grovewood Place and Oakhurst Place! Oakhurst just had their first market, and the residents are so excited for these to occur monthly!

Awesome Produce!
Our rabbi held our annual mock seder at Kensington Place for Passover, where residents eat, pray, drink wine, sing, discuss current social justice issues and tell stories as prescribed by a central book called the Haggadah.

Happy belated Earth Day! Did you know the LSS Food Pantries are great for the environment because we keep food from being thrown away, reuse grocery bags and boxes, give food scraps to farmers and more!
